Jerry Wang is a M.D. / Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Sciences graduate program at UCSF. He completed his undergraduate degree in molecular genetics at UCLA where he was a member of the Geschwind Lab with a focus on applying genomic technologies to inform precision medicine-based approaches in autism and ALS. As part of his graduate work, he will be spearheading a large, multi-omic based approach to define the molecular diversity of arteriovenous malformations. His efforts will help the field better understand the cellular and molecular drivers of disease progression and identify novel therapeutic targets for the future development of precision-based therapeutics. Outside of work, Jerry enjoys exploring the outdoors and learning about the world and its diverse cultures.
